The NC State women's golf team, ranked 32nd in the most recent Golfweek ranking, will travel to bayou country March 20-22 for the LSU Golf Classic. There are 17 teams in the field, including nine of the nation's top 50. Rain is expected in the forecast for this weekend but is expected to be clear for Sunday morning's shotgun start.
The layout at LSU's University Club course is par 72 over 6,237 yards. The course is also an NCAA Regional site this spring.
In the Pack's last outing, Rachael Taylor was the individual medalist at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. She shot even par for the tournament and won the event by three shots. The Wolfpack finished fifth in the 13-team tournament.Â

Sarah Bae is back in the lineup, as are freshmen India Clyburn and Laura Kowohl. Cecily Overbey, coming off a solid 21st-place finish in Florida, will also play for the Pack. Naomi Ko, a starter in the two previous events, will compete as an individual.
Following this week's action at LSU, NC State will play Apriil 1-3 at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C.
