Quotes from the Wolfpack
NC State head coach Wes Moore's opening statement: "I'm pleased with the way we came out today. With final exams, they (the players) have a lot on their plates, a lot on their minds, and I'm real pleased with the way we came out. We made a statement early. Our seniors really came to play today and took control of the game early. I thought we did a great job on the boards in the first half, which we knew coming in that they (UNCW) had a couple of players that were good on the offensive boards. So I was pleased with the way we handled that. We had a few too many turnovers in the first half, but in the second half I think we cut that down to three."
Miah Spencer on her four steals: "I just try to bring energy to the team and pounce on a pass if it's thrown a bit lazily. To get easy transition points is the easiest way to get your team fired up, so I just try to be aggressive on defense."
NC State closes its home stand on Wednesday, Dec. 14 against North Carolina Central. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Eagles is set for 7 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum.
