The meet will serve as an opportunity for the Pack's distance runners to use their cross country fitness to earn national marks in fast races at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center, hosted by Boston University. It marks the second consecutive season the team has sent distance athletes to the meet.
This season, four members from NC State's fourth-place women's cross country team will head to the meet. Erika Kemp, Rachel Koon, Alyssa Rudawsky and Ryen Frazier will all line up for the Pack. The race will mark Frazier's first time racing in uniform on the track for the Wolfpack.
Last season both Kemp and Koon ran in the 5,000m at the meet. Kemp opened the season with an indoor PR of 15:45.46 to break a 24-year old school record previously set by current head women's cross country coach Laurie Henes. Kemp's time also clinched her spot at the NCAA Indoor Championships and was one of four athletes to qualify for indoor nationals from the meet.
