Wolfpack to Host Hoosiers Thursday in ACC/B1G Challenge

RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team returns to action Thursday evening by hosting Indiana in the 2016 ACC/B1G Challenge. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum with live coverage of the game provided by ACC Network Extra.

The NC State women's basketball team led for nearly 31 minÂutes and held a 50-39 advantage entering the fourth quarter, but was undone by a late scoring drought and a game-winning three-pointer in the waning seconds of a 59-58 loss to LSU to end the 2016 Basketball Travelers' Paradise Jam Saturday afternoon inside the UVI Sport & Fitness Center.

The Wolfpack shot .455 or higher from the field in each of the first three quarters, but went cold in the fourth, connecting on just two of 11 attempts (.182) and did not make a field goal over the course of the game's final 6:31. Trailing by two (58-56), LSU rebounded a missed Wolfpack free throw with nine seconds on the clock and Raigyne Moncrief ran the length of the court to sink a long three-pointer at the top of the key to earn the win with three seconds remaining.

-NC State enters Thursday's game the owner of a 5-2 record after starting the season 4-0 and going 1-2 at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas.
-Jennifer Mathurin leads the team in scoring with 11.8 points per game.
-As of games played Nov. 29, NC State's defense ranks 50th nationally in field goal percentage defense (.345) and 31st in points allowed per game (54.6).

-Indiana enters Thursday's game the owner of a 4-2 record.
-The Hoosiers began the season 3-0 but have dropped two of their last three, falling at Western Kentucky and Auburn.
