NC State Hosts Boston College Sunday Afternoon

RALEIGH – Continuing a three-match Atlantic Coast Conference home stand, the NC State women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday afternoon when it hosts Boston College. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Eagles is set for 1 p.m. at Dail Soccer Field.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
This weekend, the 2015 Live & Local Bluegrass Festival will take place on and around Hillsborough Street. Fans attending Sunday's match are encouraged to take an alternate route to Dail Soccer Field.
A WIN ON SUNDAY WOULD...
-Be the 326th win in program history
-Be the Pack's first ACC win of the season
-Elevate State's record to 5-7-0 (1-2-0) on the season
SERIES HISTORY
-Sunday's match marks the 13th all-time meeting between NC State and Boston College.
-The Wolfpack trails 1-11-0 in the series.
-The teams last met in Boston on Oct. 19 of the 2014 season. Boston College won 1-0 in overtime despite a strong goalkeeping effort (13 saves) by Mackenzie Stelljes.
-NC State's first win over Boston College came on Sept. 23 of the 1990 season, when the Wolfpack won 6-0 in Raleigh.
-In head coach Tim Santoro's career, the Wolfpack has played the Eagles tight, losing by one goal each meeting.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
-Boston College enters Sunday's match the owner of a 7-3-1 record which includes a 1-0-1 mark in ACC play.
-This season in conference, the Eagles have beaten Louisville (2-0) and tied No. 19 Duke (1-1).
-BC's McKenzie Meehan ranks ninth in the NCAA in goals per match (0.91).
-The Eagles were selected to finish eighth in the ACC this season.
-Meehan (10 goals) and Haley Dowd (six goals) have accounted for 16 of BC's 22 goals this season.
THE REGULARS
Only four Wolves have started all 11 matches of the 2015 season. Two of them--Hannah Keogh and Taylor Porter--are true freshmen.
FIRST GOAL IS KEY
NC State is 4-1-0 in matches this season when it finds the back of the net before its opponent. The only loss came in the season opener at San Diego.
TOUGH STRETCH
The Wolfpack is in the midst of a four-game stretch which features three teams ranked in the NSCAA top 10. State hosted No. 10 Virginia Tech Thursday, then after hosting Boston College Sunday, will welcome No. 1 Virginia to Dail Soccer Field before traveling to No. 3 Florida State.
VIEWING PACKAGE
NC State has four remaining home matches this season. All of them will be broadcast live on ESPN3. In total, eight of 10 ACC contests will be streamed online or televised.
