CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. NC State’s stay at the Cathedral City Classic ended on Saturday, Feb. 21 with a 12-1 loss to No. 6 UCLA. Kristine Bechtholdt hit hear team-leading second home run of the season, while Claudia Cooper, Hannah Ojeda and Lauren Peters all added hits.
Mendy McKenize (0-2) took the loss, tossing 1.2 innings and allowing six earned runs. Lindsay Campana was solid in 2.1 innings of relief, giving up just two hits and allowing one unearned run. Whitney Baker (4-0) got the win for the Bruins.

Dani Yudin then nailed a 3-run shot to right, all unearned, and Campana relieved McKenize in the circle. Monica Harrison then hit a solo shot.
