Ms Wuf Wins Mascot Title; Mr Wuf, Cheerleaders Take 3rd

For the second year in a row, NC State’s nationally recognized cheerleading squad brought home a championship from the National Cheerleaders Association national finals in Daytona Beach, Fla., when Ms. Wuf was named the top collegiate mascot in the country.
Ms. Wuf, as portrayed by Jenna Whitt, won the competition, while Mr. Wuf, as portrayed by Calvin Cole, finished third. Last year, as portrayed by Tanner Leggett, Mr. Wuf won the competition. Whitt is a junior in elementary education, while Cole is a sophomore in biological sciences.
The Wolfpack mascots are coached by Lee Whitlow.
Meanwhile, the NC State cheerleading squad finished third in the Collegiate 1A Cheerleading Division, behind Louisville and Oklahoma State. For full results, click here. The Wolfpack cheerleaders are coached by Harold Trammell.
