GREENSBORO, N.C> - After falling into an early 1-0 hole against UNC-Greensboro, the Wolfpack soundly defeated the Spartans, winning all six singles matches to win the match 6-1. NC State (7-8) won all six matches in straight sets, and lost No. 2 doubles in a tiebreak and No. 3 doubles by only a single break. Kristin Lam won at No. 1 singles and at No. 1 doubles with teammate Barbara Orlay.
Lam won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles over Lindsey Peel, while she defeated Peel and Kannan at No. 1 doubles with Orlay, 8-4.
UNC-G won the doubles point with a 9-8 (4) win at No. 2 and a hard fought win at No. 3, 9-7.
Vania Apodaca had little trouble at No. 3 with her opponent Kate LaCoste, while Danielle Stadelmann won at No. 6. Both matches were 6-1. 6-0 wins for NC State.
Wolfpack women's tennis will host its final three matches, all home ACC contests. On April 7, Wake Forest will visit Raleigh at 2:30 and Saturday, April 10 the Wolfpack will play host to Maryland and host to Virginia at 1:00 pm on Senior Day on Sunday, April 11.
