Riley Helps Braves Win Title

Wolfpack baseball players are busy this offseason

Last spring, Justin Riley and his NC State teammates came within one game of winning an ACC baseball championship. In the end, a disappointing loss to Wake Forest stymied the Pack's title hopes. On Sunday, Riley picked up a nice consolation prize when his Durham Braves captured the Coastal Plain League Championship.

Riley had a key two-run single in Durham's decisive 6-2 victory over the Wilson Tobs, who had only two hits on the day. One of those hits, however, was a homer off the bat of NC State's Joe Gaetti.

Sunday's victory completed a three-game sweep for the Braves.
