RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State baseball's Rett Johnson and Luke Nixon have been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Atlantic All-Region Second Team.
This is now the seventh straight season (excluding the 2020 COVID season) that the Wolfpack has had a player named to the Atlantic All-Region Team, and just the first time since 2022 that two players have been recognized.
Johnson, who was recently named an NCBWA All-American and finished his first year on the All-ACC Second Team and All-ACC Freshman Team, recorded 75 hits, 10 doubles, a home run, and 31 runs batted in while scoring 53 runs this season. The Youngsville, N.C., native hit safely in a team-best 28 straight games and reached base in 30 straight games to end the season. He was named to Baseball America's 2026 Midseason College Freshman of the Year Watch List.
Finishing the regular season with the highest batting average in the country by a freshman, Johnson was selected to participate in the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp this summer.
Luke Nixon also earned Second Team All-ACC honors after batting .358 with eight home runs, 42 RBI, and 55 runs scored during the 2026 regular season. He led the Wolfpack with 16 doubles, three triples, and 118 total bases, and he recorded 20 multi-hit games, all career bests. Nixon set a career high with four hits in game two at Florida State. He started all 56 games at second base for the Wolfpack.
