Colin Hargis rejoined the Wolfpack in 2014 and currently serves as Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations. In his role, Hargis leads the department’s fan experience & marketing, ticketing, revenue generation, data analytics, and digital strategy initiatives. Additionally, Hargis manages the department’s partnerships with Adidas and Learfield as well as leads the department’s NIL efforts.
Hargis also serves as sport supervisor for the men’s basketball program.
Prior to his current role, Hargis served as NC State's Senior Associate Athletics Director of Marketing & Ticket Services as well as Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Sales & Operations. He was also sport supervisor for the men's and women's tennis programs.
Hargis returned to NC State after nearly six years of leading the ticket sales and service operations at the University of South Florida. Hargis joined USF as an Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Operations in 2009 and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Sales and Operations in 2013.
Hargis began his career at NC State where he served as Assistant Director of Ticket Operations as well as a Ticket Office Assistant.
Currently, Hargis serves as a national board member and executive team member for NAATSO, an affiliate organization of NACDA, and was selected into the prestigious NCAA Pathway Program for the 2023-24 cohort.
A native of Voorheesville, NY, Hargis is a graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and NC State University with a Master’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.
Hargis and his wife Katie (Michigan ’03) are proud parents of their two sons, Jacob and Mason.
