RALEIGH, N.C. – Head coach Chris Hart's first incoming transfer class has reached five, with Hunter Warren and McCall Biemiller signing with NC State baseball for the 2027 season.
Warren, an infielder from Moline, IL, is the second transfer from Wright State. He was teammates with Chet Lax, who also joined the Wolfpack this summer. A First Team Horizon League selection at second base last season, Warren hit .361 with 12 doubles, a triple, eight home runs, and 41 RBI in 51 starts this past spring. He also walked 27 times and struck out 23, en route to a .437 on-base percentage, while swiping 15 bases.
Warren recorded a hit in all but six of his appearances with the Raiders in 2026, including 17 multi-hit games. He led the Horizon League with 78 hits in the regular season, which ranked 36th across all of Division I.
Warren's top performance of the year was a six-RBI effort, highlighted by a pair of doubles, in a 5-for-5 showing with two runs scored at Youngstown State on April 12.
As a freshman, Warren impressed by hitting .328 with 15 doubles, a triple, a home run, and 45 RBI, earning the Horizon League's Freshman of the Year and First Team honors. He was second in the conference in hits (74) and hits per game (1.48), and fourth in batting average (.356).
Biemiller joins the Pack after two seasons at Florida, where he appeared 12 times for the Gators, making one start. As a freshman, he went two innings three times and struck out a career-high four in a pair of frames against Georgia on March 22, 2025. He has also limited hitters to a .224 batting average against him in his collegiate career.
Before joining Florida, Biemiller attended Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit, where he posted 157 strikeouts with an 11.9 K/9 over 86.2 innings at the prep level. He helped Tampa Jesuit win the 2024 state title as a senior, tossing 4.1 shutout frames to clinch the crown.
Biemiller was the No. 61 overall player in Florida's recruiting class and ranked No. 405 nationally in the 2024 cycle.
