#14 Wolfpack to Conclude Regular Season at Virginia Tech, #8 Virginia

RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 14 NC State women's tennis will close out its regular season this weekend with a trip to Virginia for a pair of ACC matches. The Wolfpack will face Virginia Tech on Friday, April 10 at 3 p.m. before taking on No. 8 Virginia on Sunday, April 12 at 1 p.m.

NC State dropped a tight 4-3 decision to No. 22 Duke in a nonconference match Wednesday evening at Cary Tennis Park. With the loss, the Wolfpack's 14-match doubles point streak came to an end, snapping the longest such run in program history in the current college tennis format.
The dual ultimately came down to court two, where No. 42 Gabriella Broadfoot faced No. 70 Aspen Schuman. Broadfoot claimed the opening set in a tiebreak, but Schuman answered with a 6-3 second-set win before clinching the match for Duke with a 6-2 decision in the third.

Virginia Tech most recently dropped home matches to Stanford and California last weekend before hosting the Wolfpack. The Hokies' lone conference win this spring came in a 4-1 road victory at Florida State on March 22.
- Virginia: The Cavaliers enter the weekend ranked No. 8 nationally with a 17-4 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in ACC play. Virginia will host Wake Forest on Friday, April 10 before welcoming the Pack to Charlottesville on Sunday for the regular season finale. UVA sits atop the ACC standings entering the final weekend of the regular season.
- Virginia Tech: Friday will mark the 37th all-time meeting between NC State and Virginia Tech, with the Wolfpack holding a 28-8 advantage in the all-time series. NC State has not lost to the Hokies since 2017 and enters the match riding an eight-match winning streak in the series.
- Virginia: Sunday will mark the 52nd all-time meeting between NC State and Virginia, with the Cavaliers holding a 38-13 advantage in the all-time series. In the last meeting between the teams, NC State defeated then-No. 2 Virginia, 4-2, in Raleigh during the 2025 season.
