WILMINGTON, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team is ready to take on the 2026 postseason, as the Wolfpack is set to play at the 2026 ACC Women's Golf Championship. The tournament will be played at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina from Thursday, April 16 to Sunday, April 19.
NC State is ranked No. 47 in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd Ranking and is the No. 11 seed at the championship, paired with No. 10 seed Clemson and No. 12 seed Boston College. The group will start at the first tee beginning at 9:10 a.m. Thursday.
All 15 teams will play three rounds of stroke play with 36 holes to be played on Thursday and 18 on Friday. The top six teams will advance to match play. The top two teams after stroke play will receive byes into the semifinals and the third-place team will play the sixth-place team, while the fourth-place squad will play the fifth-place team in the first round of match play on Saturday. Winners of those matchups will take on the first- and second-place teams later in the day. The match play final will be on Sunday morning.
Porters Neck is a 7,132-yard, 72-par course. The ACC is stacked with postseason bound teams and features two top 10 teams, six top 25 squads and 11 top 50 teams (including NC State).
The ACC Championship is back at Porters Neck for the second time in the last three years. The last time NC State played at the ACC Championship at Porters Neck, the Wolfpack finished tied for sixth. NC State's best finish at an ACC Championship is second, which the Pack did so in 2013 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Wolfpack is looking to qualify for matchplay for the first time in program history since the ACC added it to the conference championship format in 2021.
