Angelina Napoleon, Sadie Engelhardt & Women’s DMR Qualify for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Wolfpack will close out the indoor track & field season at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, March 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Both days of competition will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Sadie Engelhardt will compete in the mile. Her personal-best and school-record time of 4:23.84, set at the ASICS Sound Running Invite, currently ranks No. 5 overall in the NCAA this season.
Angelina Napoleon will represent NC State in the 3000m. She ran a personal-best 8:46.15 at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, which ranks No. 13 overall in the NCAA this season.
The distance medley relay team of Bethany Michalak, Brooke Rauber, Napoleon and Engelhardt enters the meet ranked No. 8 in the NCAA with a school-record time of 10:46.00, set at the ASICS Last Chance Invitational. In addition to those four, Hannah Gapes, Shaune Ingraham and Alexis Mayhew will also travel with the team.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack last competed at the Atlantic Coast Conference Track & Field Indoor Championships, held February 26-28 at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, MA.
Michalak, Ingraham, Engelhardt and Napoleon combined to finish second in the DMR with a time of 10:52.59.
Engelhardt also captured her first ACC title in the mile, winning in 4:32.59 after advancing from the semifinals with a time of 4:35.90.
Napoleon added a second-place finish in the 3000m, crossing the finish line in 8:56.75.
