#14 Women’s Tennis to Face Wake Forest in Midweek Dual

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 14 NC State women's tennis is set to travel to Wake Forest for a midweek dual in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, March 11. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.

NC State is coming off a weekend in which it split a pair of dual matches, defeating Florida State, 4-0, on Friday, March 6, before falling to No. 39 Miami, 4-3, on Sunday, March 8.
In its win over the Seminoles, the Wolfpack secured the doubles point before earning singles victories on courts one, four and six to complete the sweep. NC State did not drop a single set in the match and led in every unfinished contest as it cruised past Florida State.
Against Miami, the Wolfpack once again opened the match by sweeping the doubles action to claim the doubles point. In singles play, NC State picked up wins from Victoria Osuigwe and Jasmine Conway, but Miami secured the victory in a three-set battle on the final court.
Scouting the Demon Deacons
Wake Forest enters Wednesday's match with an 8-7 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in ACC play. The Demon Deacons' lone conference victory came against Florida State, 4-1, on Sunday, March 8.
Freshman Evie Oxford leads the team with 14 wins this season, including 11 in dual match play. Prior to arriving at Wake Forest, she was ranked as the No. 9 overall recruit in the country and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Texas for the Class of 2025 by the Tennis Recruiting Network.
