#22 Gymnastics Reaches New Season-Best Score at Towson Quad

TOWSON, Md. – No. 22 NC State gymnastics posted a season-high 197.150 Sunday afternoon at a quad meet hosted by Towson, defeating the Tigers (195.675), West Virginia (196.350) and Ursinus (191.775). The Pack's 197.150 marks its first 197.000+ away from Reynolds Coliseum since March 23, 2024.
The 197.150 ranks as the sixth-highest team score in program history. The Wolfpack's record-setting afternoon was highlighted by a 49.400 on beam, the team's best score of the season and the fifth-highest beam mark in program history. NC State matched that total on floor with another 49.400, tied for the seventh-best floor score in school history.
The Pack recorded five scores of 9.900 and captured event titles on vault, beam and floor, with Syniya Thomas earning wins on vault and floor.
Beam (49.400)
NC State opened the meet with its season-best 49.400 on beam. Katie Harper led off with a season-high 9.875, followed by Caroline Volk's matching 9.875 to equal her season best.
Autumn Rardin delivered a career-high 9.900, her third career 9.900+ and first on beam, and Maddie Hall followed with her first career 9.900, also a personal best. Hall and Rardin shared the event title. Adasyn Tackett (9.750) and Thomas (9.850) closed the historic rotation.
Floor (49.400)
The Wolfpack carried momentum to the floor, opening with a 9.850 from Emerson Fisk. Ava Myers notched her first career 9.900, while Meg Adler recorded a personal-best 9.875.
Rardin added a 9.850, Elle Hadrick posted a 9.875 and Thomas anchored with a 9.900. Myers and Thomas were part of a seven-way tie for the event title.
Vault (49.100)
Thomas led the way on vault with a career-best 9.900, her first career 9.900 on the event, to claim the event title and increase her season podium total to a team-best 19. She now owns seven career 9.900+ scores.
Myers added a 9.850, while Lauren Wright contributed a 9.800 in the rotation.
Bars (49.250)
NC State closed the meet with a 49.250 on bars. Hadrick and Harper each scored 9.875 in the final two routines to tie for second on the podium.
Myers opened with a 9.850, and Volk and Madeline Reid each added 9.825s.
