EVANSTON, Ill. - The No. 9 and fifth-seeded NC State women's tennis team fell 4-2 to No. 5 and third-seeded LSU in the consolation draw to conclude its time at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The Pack finishes its first ITA Indoors appearance since 2024 with an 1-2 record and a ranked win over No. 8 Oklahoma State.
Â
LSU opened the match by winning the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. No. 16 Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova took a 6-2 victory on the second court, but it was the Tigers who earned the early edge.
Â
No. 18 Lavinia Tanasie leveled the match with the first singles results, beating Carolina Kuhl in two sets 6-1, 6-4. However, the Tigers quickly retook the lead after court two was decided, winning in straight sets on the court.
Â
Conway made the contest tied again with a win on court six, as she beat No. 91 Kinaa Graham in three sets for a ranked 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 victory.
Â
Following Conway's win, that was all the points NC State would get on the board, as the Tigers used wins on courts five and one to reach the four-point mark and clinch the victory.
