Wolfpack Hosts Virginia In Home Dual

RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 6/7 NC State Wolfpack will host the No. 25/1 Virginia Cavaliers on Friday in the team's first home dual competition of the season. Diving will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by swimming at 2:00 p.m. at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.

Promotions
Friday's meet will serve as a Student Wolfpack Club Minute Event. Fans can also participate in a 50/50 raffle during the competition.
Last Time Out
NC State enters the meet undefeated in dual competition following a dominant win over North Carolina last week. The Wolfpack swept the Tar Heels on both the men's and women's sides, posting a combined 179–108 victory to improve to 4–0 on the season.
The meet featured several standout performances, highlighted by freshman Max Carlsen setting a new school record in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 8:42.38. Multiple Koury Natatorium pool records also fell, including the men's 200 medley relay, Carlsen's 1000 freestyle, Quintin McCarty's 50 freestyle, Cassie Moses' 100 freestyle, and both the men's and women's 400 freestyle relays.
Last Meeting vs. Virginia
The two teams last met during the 2023–24 season in Charlottesville, Va. The Wolfpack men earned a dominant 244–109 win over the Cavaliers, while the NC State women fell 265.5–87.5.
CSCAA Rankings
Thursday afternoon, the CSCAA (Collegiate Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America)Â released its January poll with no changes to NC State's rankings from the previous month. The Wolfpack men remain ranked No. 6, while the women hold steady at No. 7.
