
Volleyball Heads to Kansas State for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas Classic

MANHATTAN, Kansas - The NC State volleyball team is set to head to Manhattan, Kansas for its first road test of the season as the Pack faces Kansas State and Nevada in the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas Classic.
The Wolfpack will face the host on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:30pm on ESPN+ before batting with the Wolf Pack on Thursday, September 4 at 1pm.

- NC State will visit Kansas State for the second time in the last four years. The last time the Pack visited Manhattan, K-State won, 3-1.
- Redshirt-junior Elaisa Villar tallied 11 digs in the 2022 meeting with the Wildcats while senior Courtney Bryant recorded two kills.
- Wednesday's meeting with the Wolf Pack marks the first ever between the two programs.
- Be the fourth win of the 2025 campaign
- Be the fourth win of the MWK Era
- Be the 820th win in program history
- Be the second win over K-State in program history and first 2019.
- The Pack opened the season undefeated and first year head coach Megan Wargo-Kearney picked up her first win at the helm when the squad defeated Akron in five sets.
- MWK becomes one of two first year P4 head coaches to go undefeated in their team's opening weekend (Michigan State 2-0, Vanderbilt 1-2) and the one with the best record (3-0).
- With the 3-0 record, MWK becomes the fourth coach in program history to begin their tenure with a 3-0 record and the first since 2010 (Bryan Bunn).
- Senior outside hitter Courtney Bryant has come a long way over the course of her career.
- The Hardy, Virginia native is the only six rotation player for the Pack at the moment and for the first time in her career.
- Over the last three seasons, her defense has improved greatly and her serve. In the squad's 3-2 win over Green Bay, she tallied a career high four aces and against Akron, she only recorded one reception error.
- It's only th beginning for Court Chop, but her impact is already felt.
- Freshman opposite Jordan Smith committed to the Wolfpack in 2023 and with the absence of Amanda Rice in 2025, the Pack knew there was a void to fill.
- Smith surprised people, including herself, with her performance in her collegiate debut against Akron when she finished with 12 kills. She topped herself just 36 hours later when she tallied 15 in the squad's five set win over Green Bay.
- Smith had several game changing kills throughout the weekend that helped the Pack go undefeated at the Summit Hospitality Tournament. Her performance also earned her tournament MVP.
