CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The series finale between No. 13 NC State and Miami was canceled due to inclement weather and will not be rescheduled.
The first three and a half innings were played, with Miami taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third and nobody out. Then the lightning came, and both teams left the field. The ensuing storm resulted in a delay with the game unable to be resumed due to a curfew for NC State on a travel day. The game will be ruled a no-contest because it did not reach the fifth-inning minimum.
NC State's next game is on Tuesday, May 6th, at 6 p.m., when they travel to Wilmington to take on the Seahawks.
