Bush Sets 1,500m Record at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Sam Bush shattered the Duke Invitational meet record in the 1,500 meters to secure a victory on the second night of the meet at Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium.
The day featured two podium finishes, with Bush taking first in the 1,500m in 4:14.09 to set a new meet record. Jenna Barnes earned her first podium finish of the season, placing second in the high jump with a mark of 1.61 meters (5 feet, 3.25 inches).
Angelina Napoleon followed Bush in the 1,500m, finishing fifth in 4:15.75 to place two Wolfpack runners in the top five for the event.
Kate Putman placed fifth in the 800-meter invitational with a time of 2:05.62. The performance moves her into fourth place on the program's all-time top-10 list for the event.
