The Wolfpack opens the 2025 season against Fordham at 3 pm on Friday the 14th.
AÂ stellar 2024 season saw the Wolfpack make its fourth trip to the Men's College World Series; that journey began right here in Raleigh as NC State was named one of the 16 NCAA Regional host sites for the 2024 Division I Baseball Championship.
The super regional saw NC State travel to Athens, Ga., to take on the seventh-seeded Georgia Bulldogs. The Wolfpack opened the super regional with a historic win over the Bulldogs, as eleven hits fueled an 11-run second inning, helping NC State capture an 18-1 victory.
After Georgia won game two, it set up a winner-take-all game three. Dramatically, the Wolfpack used their 16th comeback win of the season to defeat Georgia 8-5 and punch their ticket to Omaha.
In Omaha, The Wolfpack squared off with Kentucky, taking the Wildcats to extra innings in game one, and faced Florida in game two. The 2024 trip to Omaha marked the third time since 2013 that NC State has reached the College World Series.
