#10 Pack Men’s Tennis Sweeps Midweek Match with UNCG

RALEIGH – 10th-ranked NC State men's tennis added another nonconference win under its belt Wednesday evening when it swept UNC Greensboro 7-0 at home.
The Wolfpack finally returned home for the first time in over a month to play in front of its home crowd in Raleigh. The match also marked the first bit of outdoor action for the team this year as well.
NC State added its 18th win over UNC Greensboro, making it 12 consecutive sweeps over the Spartans.
The dependable duos, Shick & Van Sambeek and Leroux & Staeheli, on courts one and two clinched the doubles point for the Pack, both with 6-2 wins. Martin Borisiouk and William Manning were leading 5-2 on court three when play was halted.
In singles action, five out of six courts were resolved in straight sets all leading to points for the red-and-white.
The bottom half of the singles lineup was entirely represented by freshmen for the Pack. The two redshirt freshmen, Leroux and Manning, held their opponents to the least amount of games scored on them out of all the matchups of the day.

The Pack prepares to kick off league action this weekend when it welcomes No. 17 California on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 6 Stanford on Sunday at 1 p.m.
