Floor: Chloe Negrete won with a 9.925, while Syniya Thomas took second with a strong routine. Krista Zultevicz notched a season-best 9.825.
Beam: Negrete anchored the rotation with a 9.900 to secure the team victory.
NC State posted a season-high team score of 196.225 in the win.
Negrete, Thomas Earn ACC Weekly Honors
The ACC named Chloe Negrete Specialist of the Week and Syniya Thomas Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday.
Negrete posted two 9.900+ scores in NC State's win over North Carolina. She recorded a 9.825 on vault, a 9.925 on floor, and a 9.900 on beam to anchor the Wolfpack's victory. This marks her second time receiving the honor this season.
Thomas earned her second Newcomer of the Week award, making her the first freshman to win it twice this season. She scored a 9.800 on vault, a 9.875 on floor, and a 9.875 on beam, making her NC State's highest-scoring freshman.
Their performances helped the Wolfpack achieve season highs on vault, beam, and floor en route to the 196.225 team total.
