The Basics of the Matchup
- NC State continues with its final road stretch of the season with a trip to the birthplace of the nation, Virginia.
- The Pack will visit Charlottesville on Friday for the 79th all-time meeting with UVA. NC State has won nine of the last ten meetings but UVA leads the series 39-38.
- The Wolfpack will then head 149 miles southwest to Blacksburg for a meeting with the Hokies on Sunday for the 44th all-time meeting. The Pack leads the all-time series, 22-21.
- NC State has won the last 12 meetings with Virginia Tech, with seven of those coming via sweep.
- Be the seventh conference win of the season.
- Be the 14th win of the 2025 campaign.
- Be the 14th win of the MWK Era.
- Be the 830th win in program history.
- Be the 221st conference win in program history.
- Be the 39th win over the Cavaliers in program history
- Senior outside Courtney Bryant has four 20+ kill matches (Coastal Carolina, Duke, Florida State, Boston College) this season, becoming the first person since Melissa Evans in 2016 to record four or more in a single season.
- Bryant surpassed former teammate, Amanda Rice, for most 20+ kills in a season in their respective career. Rice tallied three 20+ kills matches in both 2023 and 2024.
- The Pack has had its ups and downs from the service line this season. After opening the season with a 1:1.2 ratio for ace to error through 10 games, the Pack has struggled a bit from the service line.
- Some stats to think about for the Pack at the service line: When a match goes to 4 sets, the Pack is 3-0 when recording more aces than errors or break-even (1:1 ratio) ... The Pack is 5-0 when the error total is greater than or equal to 3 more than the ace total (IE: South Carolina match 4A-7E)
- Leading the Pack from the service line this season is seniors Courtney Bryant (34), Elaisa Villar (22) and Lily Cropper (21),
