No. 19 NC State Set to Take on No. 10 Texas & SMU

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 19 NC State Women's Tennis team is set to head to Texas for a weekend of exciting matchups. On January 31 at 3:00pm, the Pack will face off against the Texas Longhorns at the Texas Tennis Center, followed by a showdown with SMU Peruna on February 2 at 11:00am, at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.

The Wolfpack are eager to bounce back after a challenging weekend in Knoxville, where they faced competition from Ohio State and Texas Tech during the ITA Kickoff Weekend. With a 2-2 record heading into this weekend, NC State is focused and ready to regroup as they travel to Texas, looking to build momentum.
Scouting the Longhorns:
No. 11 Texas heads into the weekend with a 2-1 record, coming off back-to-back victories at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Longhorns feature four ranked singles players: No. 28 Carmen Andreea Herea, No. 44 Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo, No. 65 Ashton Bowers, and No. 95 Vivian Ovrootsky.
Scouting the Peruna:
SMU enters the weekend with a 1-3 record, following tough losses to Arkansas and Clemson during ITA Kickoff Weekend. Before facing the Wolfpack in Dallas, the Mustangs will host Lamar and UT Arlington in a doubleheader on January 30.
Looking ahead, the Wolfpack have added a new matchup to it's schedule, as it will host Old Dominion on February 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
