
NC State Battles to 1-1 Draw Against No. 13 Notre Dame

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's soccer team faced off against No. 13 Notre Dame on Thursday night, battling to a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought match.
Notre Dame dominated possession in the first half with 61% and led in shots 11-2. However, NC State's goalkeeper Olivia Pratapas stood strong, making three key saves to keep the board clean.
Midway through the first half, NC State capitalized on a corner kick. Mana Nakata delivered a precise ball into the box, where Taylor Chism rose above the defense to head it in for the first goal of the match. Chism's goal was the first allowed by Notre Dame goalkeeper Altee Olofson this season and marked her second goal of the year.
SECOND HALF
The Wolfpack maintained their momentum, but in the 72nd minute, Notre Dame found the equalizer. A corner kick from the Fighting Irish led to a header that tied the game 1-1.
Despite Notre Dame's pressure in the final minutes, Pratapas made two more crucial saves, bringing her total to eight for the night, ensuring the Fighting Irish were held to just one goal.
