INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On the final day of the U.S. Olympic trials, it was announced that the head coach of Wolfpack Swim and Dive, Braden Holloway, will join Team USA in Paris as an assistant coach.
Holloway will be one of six coaches to make the trip, working with women's head coach Todd DeSorbo (Virginia) and men's head coach Anthony Nesty (Florida). The coaching staff will be divided into men's and women's, but they will all be available to all participating athletes.
The 10-time ACC coach of the year will join Katharine Berkoff in Paris as she qualified for the games with a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke.
Holloway will bring plenty of international experience to Paris, having been the men's head coach for the World Championships (2022) and World University Games (2019) teams.
This past season Holloway led the Wolfpack men to their 33rd ACC Championship team title in program history, Holloway saw the men's team put up 1499.5 points, which included eight first-place finishes. In Indianapolis at the NCAA Championships, the men broke two American records, set numerous program records, and personal bests on their way to 10 All-American recipients and 10 Honorable Mention All-Americans. With a fifth-place finish, it was the ninth consecutive year Holloway led the men to a top-10 finish at NCAAs.
