Branker Automatically Qualifies for Quarterfinals on Day One of East Regional

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The NC State men's track and field team started competition at the NCAA East Regional hosted by the University of Kentucky Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman Xavier Branker earned an automatic qualification for the quarterfinals in the 400m hurdles after finishing second in his heat and 13th overall in the first round with a time of 51.06. He will return to the track on Friday at 7:25pm.
The women will begin competition on Thursday, May 23 with field events starting at 1pm.
