Twenty Six Named to ACC Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team

GREENSBORO, NC - Twenty six members of the NC State track and field squad have been named to the 2024 ACC Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday.
Fifteen members of the women's program and ten of the men's program have been tabbed as members of the conference All-Academic Team.Â
The women's team is represented by four members of the Pack that established themselves as All-ACC Performers at the 2024 ACC Indoor Championships in Boston this past February.
Amaris Tyynismaa earned First Team All-ACC honors after finishing second in the 5000m with a time of 15:59.71. She also picked up Second Team All-ACC honors in the women's 3000m after clocking in at 9:06.44 to finish fourth.
Grace Hartman ran 4:40.33 in the women's mile to take fourth and record a Second Team All-ACC finish. Newcomer Jayda Hunter finished fourth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.76m that earned her Second Team All-ACC status.
Hartman also competed in the 5000m at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships and ran a time of 15:28.57 to earn First Team All-American honors. She was also presented with the Elite 90 Award for the 2024 indoor season.
After turning in a mark of 19.35m in the women's weight throw, Makala Wright finished sixth overall and took home Second Team All-ACC honors, the first of her collegiate career.
Academic requirements for selection to the team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships and/or the NCAA Indoor Championships during the most recent season.
