RALEIGH, NC—The sixth-ranked Wolfpack women's tennis team will look to extend its four-match winning streak as it continues conference play with a matchup with in-state opponent Wake Forest on Friday, March 8th, at noon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
The Wolfpack look to remain unbeaten at home this season (9-0). Fans looking to attend the match on Friday will need to secure a parking permit. Instructions on securing a parking permit can be found HERE.
If you cannot make it to the math, live scoring is available HERE, and Cracked Rackets will be streaming and covering the match. The broadcast will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
NC State (12-3, 2-0) is unbeaten in conference play after opening the ACC slate with 5-2 victories over Notre Dame and Louisville.
Despite the Demon Deacons' advantage in the overall series (42-15), which dates back to 1978, the Wolfpack has won 10 straight matches since 2015.
Looking to lead the Wolfpack once again will be two-time ACC Player of the Week this season Amelia Rajecki and the reigning ACC Freshman of the Week Maddy Zampardo. Both went undefeated last week, combining to go 11-0 over four matches in both singles and doubles play.
In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings, released on Tuesday, Rajecki and Zampardo moved up to 10th in the nation in doubles.
The Wolfpack sees half the team ranked among the top 100 singles players in the country, with Rajecki leading the way at No. 3, followed by Anna Zyryanova (No. 34), Abigail Rencheli (No. 37), and Sophie Abrams (No. 82).
Abrams and Zyryanova are the ninth-ranked doubles in the nation, joining Rajecki and Zampardo among the top 10, as NC State remains the only program with two doubles teams in the country.
Senior leadership has led the Wolfpack this season as Rajecki, Rencheli and Abrams all are moving up the NC State record books in career singles and doubles wins. With 94 career singles wins and 92 doubles victories Rajecki sits in fourth in each category. Rencheli follows her closely in fifth with 90 singles wins and Abrams rounds it out with 77 sitting in 10th.
