
Pack Set To Host ACC Opponents No. 68 Clemson and No. 28 Georgia Tech

RALEIGH, N.C.- ACC play is full steam ahead, as No. 20 NC State gets set to host ACC opponents No. 68 Clemson Friday, Mar. 5 at 5:30PM, and No. 28 Georgia Tech Sunday, Mar. 10 at 12:00PM at the J.W Isenhour Tennis Center.

Across the street the NC State Baseball team will be competing during Friday's match against the Clemson Tigers, Guests will not need to obtain a virtual parking permit for Friday's match.Tennis Parking is at the West Parking Deck. Parking is free to guests.Â
ÂPromotions:Â
Friday's match will offer free Chick-Fil- A nuggets for fans, while supplies last. Additionally, guests will have the chance to enter to win an NC State swag bag and tennis racquet.Â
ÂSunday's match will be offering Bojangles chicken biscuits to the first fifty fans who attend Sunday's match.
ÂWeekend Recap:
The Wolfpack are coming off of a 3-4 loss to Virginia over the weekend after the Wolfpack began conference play in a two match weekend in Virginia. The Pack started off the weekend with a 7-0 sweep in Blacksburg, VA after going head to head against ACC opponents Virginia Tech. The Pack made the trip Sunday to Charlottesville, VA competing against No. 8 Virginia facing a tough 4-3 loss.Â
ÂPack in the Rankings:Â
The Wolfpack picked up the No. 20 spot on the ITA rankings this week moving up two spots from last week. The Pack head into the weekend with a 8-4 overall record, and 1-1 record in conference playÂ
ÂFour members of the Pack climbed the singles ladder this week including Fons Van Sambeek who made his first appearance of the season on the ITA singles charts this week at the No. 103 spot. Junior Braden Shick made his way into the double digits making his way to the No. 95 spot. Senior Robin Catry continues to climb each week standing at the No. 58 spot this week. Also representing the Pack, Joe Wayand made the jump to No. 108.
ÂDoubles Duo Martin Borisiouk and Joe Wayand still feature at the No. 27 spot in ITA doubles rankings.Â
ÂScouting the Tigers:
Clemson heads into Friday's match coming off of two tough losses on the road against ACC opponents No. 15 Duke, and No. 30 North Carolina. The Tigers hold an overall record of 7-6 and 0-2 record in conference play.Â
ÂClemson features No. 75 singles player Wissam Abderrahman, and doubles pair No. 62 Maxwell Smith and Noa Vukadin.Â
ÂScouting the Yellow Jackets:
Georgia Tech will make their way to Raleigh at the No. 28 spot in ITA team rankings this week. The Yellow Jackets currently hold a 10-3 record, 1-1 in conference play.Â
ÂThe Yellow Jacket squad has a collection of ranked players. Singles includes No. 18 Andres Martin, and No. 42 Keshav Chopra. The Yellow Jackets doubles lineup includes No. 38 Keshav Choppa and Marcus Mcdaniel.Â
ÂGeorgia Tech is coming off of their big win over the weekend after the Yellow Jackets took down No. 11 Duke in the programs first conference win of the season Mar. 1. After dropping doubles point to the Blue Devils, Tech came back in singles claiming all six matches for a 6-1 final score.Â
