Pack Set to Kick Off Raleigh Relays Thursday

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team will return to the track tomorrow for its second outdoor meet of the season as it opens competition on the first day of Raleigh Relays at Paul H. Derr Track on NC State's main campus.

LAST TIME OUT
The Pack is coming off of a stellar performance at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite where it earned six total event victories.
The final day of competition proved to be the outlier for NC State, as the Wolfpack picked up five of its six event wins and recorded 13 top-five finishes.
Jamar Davis won the men's triple jump with a first-place finish of 15.12m. He also placed second in the long jump on the second day of the event with a jump of 7.32m. Thanks to his two podium finishes, Davis was named the ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the week on March 19th.
The Red and White also claimed victory in the women's triple jump, with Jirah Sidberry earning the highest spot on the podium with a mark of 12.49m. This came one day after the Charlotte native won the women's long jump with a leap of 6.06m.
In the women's 100m hurdles final, Ally Henson crossed the finish line in 13.73 to earn first place. Xavier Branker continued a solid day over the hurdles for the Pack, winning the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 52.98.
Ta'Honny Exum threw her way into a first-place finish in the women's shot put with a 13.94m. Katie Horne impressed on the first night of competition, finishing first overall with a throw of 41.28m in the women's javelin throw.Â
