Pack Picks Up Two Personal Best Marks on First Day of Doc Hale VT Invite

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The NC State track and field team returned to action yesterday at the Doc Hale VT Invite with two athletes establishing new PR marks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jumps
Jirah Siberry took home the highest finish of the night for the Wolfpack in the women's long jump, finishing third with a mark of 6.06m. After a leap of 5.84m, Zahra Bichara claimed seventh place for the Pack.
Jayda Hunter also competed in the event for NC State, finishing with a jump of 5.57m, a new personal best.
Throws
In the men's weight throw, Nathan Lau finished in 10th after a mark of 17.77m.
Makala Wright threw for a mark of 18.86m in the women's weight throw that earned her seventh place. Sydney Freeman finished with a personal-best throw of 17.67m.
