No. 19 NC State Set to Host Campbell

RALEIGH, NC - No. 17Â NC State will host its first outdoor match of the season Thursday, Feb. 22 as the Wolfpack Take on the Campbell Camels at 3:00PM.
ÂThe Wolfpack are looking to get back on its feet after a 4-3 loss to No.10 Columbia on Sunday, Feb. 4. NC State added Thursday's match to its dual slate schedule amidst the Pack's twenty-five day break from competition.Â
ÂThe Pack head into Thursday's match undefeated against the Camels, with a 5-0 overall record. The Pack hold a three game sweep streak in the 919. The last meeting between the two programs took place on January 20, 2022 in Raleigh.Â
ÂGeneral information:
This will be the Pack's first outdoor competition of the season. Admission is free for Thursday's match. Guests will be asked to enter through the main gates of Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Outdoor Tennis Center. Fans will need to obtain a virtual parking permit upon arrival under university standards. The Wolfpack returned to the Top 25 after its upset against No. 2 South Carolina, 4-3 in Columbia, SC. Having five out of seven of its opponents ranked in the top-25, the Pack has navigated through an immense strength of schedule this season under head coach, Kyle Spencer's lead.Â
ÂJunior Braden Shick made his first appearance on the ITA singles rankings this season joining teammates Robin Catry, and Joe Wayand on the list. Shick secured the No. 117 spot on the charts, heading into Thursday's match with a 5-1 record in singles play so far this season.
ÂSenior Robin Catry has climbed up the ITA singles ranking taking over the No. 72 spot. Catry commanded the court in singles play against Columbia defeating ranked opponent No. 24 Michael Zhang of Columbia last match.Â
ÂDoubles duo Joe Wayand, and Martin Borisiouk continue to make an appearance at No. 18 in the ITA Doubles rankings. The pair headed into the spring season undefeated after refusing to drop a match in Fall play.Â
ÂScouting the Camels
Campbell will head into Thursday's match with a 5-1 overall record. The Camels have faced opponents such as Lees- McCrae, The Citadel, and NC Central. The Camel's sole loss was against No. 25 North Carolina, which the Camels faced defeat opening their season in Chapel Hill. NC State will be the second ranked match-up the Camels have taken on thus far.
