Correll and Vann Named to All-ACC Third Team; Three Take Home Honorable Mention Honors

CHARLOTTE, NC – Five NC State football players were recognized as the ACC announced the 2024 All-ACC Football Awards on Tuesday afternoon. Zeke Correll and Davin Vann were named to the All-ACC Third Team, while Sean Brown, Bishop Fitzgerald, and Timothy McKay received honorable mention honors.
In his first year with the Wolfpack, Correll was elected a team captain by his teammates before the season. On the field, he did not allow a sack and earned the highest grade on the offensive line vs. Tennessee, LaTech, Clemson, at California, and tied vs. Stanford. Was a two-time PFF Team of the Week recipient.
Correll was instrumental in opening up the NC State rushing attack, where they averaged 140.8 rushing yards per game.
Leading the nation in forced fumbles and matching a program record for most in a season, Vann was a dominant force on the NC State defensive line. Vann played in all 12 games this season and totaled 41 tackles, with 14 tackles for a loss and 6.5 sacks to lead the team.
Vann is the first Wolfpack defensive end to receive All-ACC honors since Bradley Chubb in 2017.
Leading NC State on the defense, Brown earned honorable mention honors with 87 total tackles on the season and a team-high 13 quarterback hurries. He ranks eighth in the ACC with 7.55 tackles per game.
Another leader on the Wolfpack defense earning honorable mention recognition was Fitzgerald, who had a team-high and career-best three interceptions this season. He had the fifth most tackles on the team, totaling 51, and forced a fumble this season.
Playing in and starting all 12 of the Wolfpack's contests this season, McKay was in for 751 plays. He earned an 88.7 pass-blocking grade against UNC where he had a season high eight pancakes to give him 49 during the season.
