
Pack Travels to Louisville for Jimmy V Women’s Classic, ACC Opener

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's basketball team is set to play Louisville for the Jimmy V Women's Classic and the ACC opener. This marks the Pack's fifth time playing in the Jimmy V Women's Classic. NC State and Louisville will tipoff at 1 p.m. on ABC.
ABOUT NC STATE
- The Wolfpack is on a three-game winning streak after getting past Davidson, 59-57, on Wednesday
- Last week, the Pack picked up its first ranked win of the season over No. 18/18 Ole Miss to win the SEC/ACC Challenge for the second consecutive year
- The Pack has the 12th toughest strength of schedule in the country, which is No. 5 of all Power 4 teams
- NC State is one of 24 schools in the country to have picked up at least one Quad 1 win
- The team jumped back into the AP Top 25, sitting in a tie for 22nd. The Pack's three losses are to top 12 teams: No. 3 South Carolina, No. 4 LSU and No. 12 TCU. The Pack has been ranked in each WBCA Coaches Poll rankings, currently sitting at No. 20

ABOUT THE JIMMY V WOMEN'S CLASSIC
- This marks NC State's fifth Jimmy V Classic appearance (UConn in 2002, Texas in 2003, Tennessee in 2004 and South Carolina in 2020)

- Louisville was chosen to finish fourth in the ACC Preseason Poll, following a 24-10 season

- Freshman Tajianna Roberts leads the team with 11.3 points per game with 17 steals
- Olivia Cochran leads Louisville with 6.5 rebounds per game and Nyla Harris has the most blocks with seven

SERIES HISTORY (TIED AT 8-8)
- The Pack is 3-3 at home, 3-2 on the road and 2-3 on a neutral floor against Louisville

- James recorded 21 points, including 14 in the first quarter, with eight rebounds
