SYRACUSE, N.Y. - NC State and Syracuse Battle to a 1-1 Draw in Thrilling Match at SU Soccer Stadium.
KICKING OFF
Syracuse took an early lead in the fourth minute after a deflected shot resulted in a handball, earning the Orange a penalty kick that they converted successfully. The first half concluded with both teams registering nine shots, while NC State edged Syracuse with 4-3 in saves.
EQUALIZING
NC State equalized in the 56th minute when Taylor Chism scored off a corner kick from Mana Nakata, marking Chism's third goal of the season and Nakata's third assist. Goalkeeper Olivia Pratapas played a crucial role in maintaining the tie, finishing with seven saves during the match.
MAKING MOVES
Jade Bordeleau led the Wolfpack with six shots, three of which were on target. Antonella Mazziotto contributed with three shots, one on goal. Overall, NC State tallied 20 shots, 10 on goal, compared to Syracuse's 19 shots and 8 on goal.
