RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Friday, October 4, in Chicago, Ill., at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational, and at the ECU Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State delivered an impressive performance at the adidas XC Challenge. The women's team dominated the 5k race, while the men's team secured second place in the 6k.
The women's squad claimed victory with 34 points, finishing ahead of Clemson, which scored 51 points. Junior Grace Hartman led the pack, placing fourth with a time of 16:25.9, closely followed by junior Hannah Gapes, who finished in 16:26.6.
On the men's side, the team finished second with 51 points. Graduate student Brett Gardner led the squad, winning the 6k with a time of 17:37.2. Teammate Toby Gualter followed with a career-best time of 17:39.4, securing second place.

The NC State women's cross country team is currently ranked No. 1 in the country and in the Southeast Region, according to the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll.
The men's team is ranked No. 9 in the Southeast Region, according to the USTFCCCA Regional Poll.
