Wolfpack Concludes Road Nonconference Slate at Harvard

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State women's soccer concludes its road nonconference slate on Sunday afternoon at Harvard. Sunday's match in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is set for 1 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State women's soccer set a new Dail Soccer Stadium attendance record in Thursday night's 2-1 loss to Michigan State, welcoming 2,506 fans to The Dail for the Pack's matchup against the Spartans. After Michigan State netted the opening goal in the 12th minute, Jameese Joseph made it back-to-back games with a goal when she tied the score at 1-1 in the 24th minute. Joseph's second goal of the season came off an assist from Brianna Weber, who moves into a tie for first place on the Wolfpack roster with three assists on the season. The Spartans' Emerson Sargeant broke the 1-1 deadlock in the 89th minute, converting a one-on-one opportunity off a long pass to seal the Michigan State victory.

• NC State and Harvard will face off for the third time and second time in the past two seasons. The Wolfpack and Crimson have split the first two games of the series.

The rankings were based on a combination of final United Soccer Coaches Polls and Rating Percentage Index (RPI) from each season, with bonuses awarded for NCAA Tournament qualification and College Cup victories.
MAKING DEBUTS
Four members of the Pack made their NC State debuts during the season opener, including Mackenzie Smith and Jade Bordeleau making their first-career starts. Alex Mohr and Mary Frances Symmes also logged their first-career appearances. Bordeleau netted the first goal of her career in NC State's season opener, finishing with her right foot from close range. Rosalie Olou made her NC State debut with 52 minutes off the bench in August 24's 1-1 draw against Rutgers. Olivia Pratapas made her first appearance in an NC State uniform in Aug. 31's matchup at Colorado. She made her first-career start in Sunday's setback at Denver, making a career-high eight saves. Freshman Hannah Jibril, who missed the first five matches due to injury, made her debut with 13 minutes off the bench in Thursday's match against Michigan State.

Harvard enters Sunday's match following a 5-2 victory over ACC foe Syracuse on Thursday night. The Crimson built a 3-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes, expanding its advantage to 4-0 less than 12 minutes into the second half. The Crimson opened the season ranked No. 23 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll and was predicted second in the Ivy League Preseason Poll behind only Brown. Harvard has posted a 15-3-3 Ivy League record over the past three seasons and has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons. Josefine Hasbo leads Harvard with three goals and eight points, while Ava Lung paces the Crimson with three assists.

NC State women's soccer set a new attendance record on Thursday night, welcoming 2,506 fans to Dail Soccer Stadium. The Dail, home to NC State women's and men's soccer since 2008, was packed out for Thursday's match against Michigan State on "Barbie Night", where the first 200 students received Barbie-themed T-shirts. The new record shattered the previous total (2,023 against UNC on Oct. 1, 2010) by over 450 people.
SPREADING THE WEALTH
Through six games this season, NC State's eight goals have been scored by six different student-athletes. Alexis Strickland and Jameese Joseph lead the Wolfpack with two goals apiece this season, while Leyah Hall-Robinson, Jameese Joseph, Jade Bordeleau, Annika Wohner and Taylor Chism have each scored one goal apiece.
