
@PackWSoccer Sets Dail Soccer Stadium Attendance Record in Setback to Michigan State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's soccer team set a new Dail Soccer Stadium attendance record in Thursday night's 2-1 loss to Michigan State, welcoming 2,506 fans to The Dail for the Pack's matchup against the Spartans.
Michigan State (5-2-0) netted the game-winning goal in the 89th minute when Emerson Sargeant converted a one-on-one opportunity off a long pass from Zivana Labovic. The Wolfpack and Spartans traded goals in the opening 45 minutes to enter the second half tied at 1-1.
Cienna Kim and Jameese Joseph almost put the Wolfpack in front in the 75th and 76th minutes, respectively, when Kim's shot forced a team save near the goal line by a Michigan State defender. Less than a minute later, Joseph's shot from inside the box struck the right post.
Michigan State struck first in the 12th minute when Bella Najera finished with her right foot from inside the box. Mackenzie Anthony and Gabby Mueller logged the assists on the opening score.
Joseph knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal in her second straight game, receiving a lob pass from Brianna Weber before spinning past the defender and slotting home the tying goal. Weber recorded her third assist of the season on Joseph's goal.
NC State goalkeeper Olivia Pratapas tied her career-high with eight saves. Joseph paced the Wolfpack with a goal, six shots and two shots on goal.

The Wolfpack travels to Harvard for its road nonconference finale on Sunday afternoon. Sunday's matchup against the Crimson is set for 1 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.
