Pack to Finish Nonconference Schedule in Reynolds

RALEIGH -- The NC State volleyball team looks to continue its winning-streak in the final nonconference matchups of the season. The Wolfpack will host Charlotte on Tuesday Sept. 12 and George Washington on Wednesday Sept. 13 in Reynolds Coliseum. Both matches will begin at 6pm and be streamed on ACCNX.Â

- The Pack won the last meeting with Charlotte in 2011, but the 49ers hold a 2-1 advantage over the Wolfpack
- None of the current members of the Pack were born the last time the program faced George Washington (2000)
- The Colonials hold a 14-7 advantage over the Wolfpack and won the last five meetings
- The 8-1 start for the Wolfpack is the best start under head coach Luka Slabe
- The seven-game win-streak is the longest since 2015 when the Pack won eight straight
- Due to their performance in Ohio, the Pack won the Bobcat Invitational and earned some hardware before coming back to Raleigh -- Amanda Rice earned tournament MVP, while Ava Brizard and Jada Allen earned All-Tournament team
- Junior opposite Amanda Rice recorded a career high 18 kills against Rutgers and Ohio
- Due to her performance at the Bobcat Invitational, she earned Tournament MVP
- She sits 19 kills away from hitting 500 on her career in NC State
- Head coach Luka Slabe won the National Championship in 2001 when he played for BYU
- On Sept. 1, he and his teammates were inducted into the BYU Hall of Fame, alongside the 1999 and 2004 teams
- He was also a member of the National Championship Runner Up squad in 2003
- The Wolfpack rallied back from a 2-0 deficit in the second meeting with Utah Valley to record a reverse sweep
- After struggling to gain a lead in the first two sets, they went into set three with a fire under them

- Head coach Luka Slabe has started the countdown to 50 career wins as a head coach
- Entering the 2023 season, he sits at a 48-35 record overall, with 27 wins over ACC opponents
- He would be only the sixth coach in program history to hit the 50 win mark
