Pack Opens Competition at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Wolfpack track and field team opened weekend action at the Virginia Challenge on Thursday with one athlete earning a new personal best mark.

MULTI-EVENTS
Timara Chapman completed the first four events of the women's heptathlon on the opening day of competition, recording a top-five finish in each.

The Raleigh-native started out by taking third-place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.96. In the high jump, she recorded a personal best leap of 1.73m to take fourth. Chapman finished day-one activities with a third place finish in both the shot put (12.26m) and the 200m (24.63).
