Despite Sunday's setback, NC State secured its first ACC series win of the season behind Friday's 6-5 comeback win and a 10-0 victory on Saturday. The series victory also marked the Pack's first series victory over a ranked opponent so far in 2023.

LuJames Groover III led off the inning with a double to left field, advancing to third on Jacob Cozart's flyout to right field. Trevor Candelaria then brought Groover III home with an RBI groundout to shortstop to make it 2-1.
Louisville stretched its lead to 4-1 behind a pair of unearned runs in the top of the fifth.
Freshman left-hander Dominic Fritton (1-1) suffered his first defeat in his Wolfpack career, finishing the afternoon with 4.2 innings pitched while allowing four hits, four runs (two unearned) with three strikeouts. Louisville's Carson Liggett moved to 6-0 on the season after allowing just one run over 5.1 innings.
The Cardinals extended their lead to a game-high five runs with a pair of bases-loaded walks in the top of the eighth, pushing the game to its final score at 6-1.
Payton Green led NC State batters with a two-hit performance. On the mound, Win Scott pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout. Baker Nelson pitched three innings in relief of Fritton, allowing just one hit and two runs out of the bullpen.
