
Pack Looks to Bounce Back at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – NC State women's basketball (16-7, 6-6 ACC) will play its next two games on the road, first making the trip to Wake Forest (14-10, 5-8 ACC) for a Thursday night matchup.
Tip-off between the 22nd-ranked Wolfpack and the Demon Deacons will be at 8 p.m. on the ACC Network, and Andrew Sanders and Ernie Myers will have the radio call on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh and on the Varsity Network app.
A WIN ON THURSDAY WOULD
• Be the 1,015th win in program history (1,014-485)
• Be head coach Wes Moore's 797th career win (796-245)
• Be Moore's 239th win at NC State (238-76)
• Extend the Pack's winning streak over Wake Forest to nine games and be the team's fifth-straight road victory in Winston-Salem
• Be the 50th ACC win for the Wolfpack since the start of 2019-20, marking the most in any four season period in program history
NOTING THE WOLFPACK
• NC State has five players averaging 8.5+ points per game and seven players averaging 7+ points per game. All of those women are shooting 37+ percent from the field this season, and six of those players are shooting better than 41 percent.
• Junior guard Diamond Johnson was named to the 30-player Naismith Trophy Midseason Team on Tuesday. She is the only Wolfpack player averaging double figures in scoring (13.6 ppg) and also leads the team in assists (3.6). Her 42.3 percent three-point clip ranks 21st nationally and second in the ACC this season.
• Johnson (13.2 ppg), Saniya Rivers (9.3 ppg), Camille Hobby (8.8 ppg) and Mimi Collins (7.5 ppg) have scored 10+ points in at least five ACC games this season. Johnson leads the squad with seven double-figure scoring performances against league teams.
• In ACC play, Johnson's scoring average (13th), shooting percent- age (8th - .429), assists per game (8th - 3.2) and three-point percentage (5th - .339) and assist-turnover ratio (12th - 1.26) all rank in the top 15.
• Rivers joins her in the top 15 in assists per game (11th - 3.1) and assist-turnover ratio (11th - 1.28) in addition to ranking third in steals per game (2.5) against conference opponents.
• In its six ACC wins this season, the Wolfpack has five players averaging over nine points per game (two scoring in double figures) and averages 14 assists per game as a squad.
• With six games remaining to be played in its 2022-23 campaign, two of those will be home games and four will be road games for the Wolfpack. NC State plays four of its next five away from home.
