Pack Rifle Ties for Fifth in Smallbore at GARC Championships

Ben Salas Finishes Fifth Overall in Smallbore as an Individual
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The NC State rifle team finished day one of the Great American Rifle Conference Championships with a smallbore score of 2,325 on Saturday at West Virginia's WVU Shell Building.
The Wolfpack finished tied for fifth out of eight teams in Saturday's team smallbore event, placing above No. 15 Army (2,301) and No. 10 Memphis (2,318) and tying No. 9 Navy.
Ben Salas, who was named Honorable Mention GARC All-Smallbore on Friday, led the Pack with a score of 590 to qualify for the finals. In his first ever GARC finals, he finished fifth overall out of eight finalists.
Kendall Goebel ranked second among Pack shooters with a score of 582, while Katie Tedeschi rounded out the top-three with a score of 580. Kyra Meade (573) and Roman Karadsheh (565) finished out the scoring for the Pack.
No. 2 West Virginia clinched the team smallbore title with a score of 2,345 in its home venue.
