No. 2 Wrestling Defeats Army on the Road

West Point, N.Y. - Second-ranked NC State wrestling defeated Army 34-6 on the road Thursday night to improve to 5-0 on the season.Â
The Wolfpack won eight of 10 bouts over the Black Knights, including one via a pin, two via technical falls, and four via major decisions. Â
Ed Scott started the night off strong at 157lbs with a decision over Army's Nate Lukez to give the Wolfpack the first lead of the night.Â
AJ Kovacs and Alex Faison suffered the only losses of the night at 165lbs and 174lbs, enabling the Black Knights to take their only lead of the match.Â
After these two losses, NC State wouldn't lose again after strong energy followed up immediately from Dylan Fishback and then a pin from team leader Trent Hidlay.Â
Jarrett Trombley held the only close match after this but he came out on top 7-6 from his heated bout over Braden Basile.Â
