NC State heads to Durham for primetime match with Duke

RALEIGH, NC – The NC State men's soccer team will take the short trip to Durham on Friday evening, taking on No. 15 Duke in primetime.

The Wolfpack and Blue Devils will meet at 8 pm and the match will air on the ACC Network.

NC State (6-7-0) looks to snap a three-game slide. Duke (7-3-1) is the fifth ranked opponent to play the Pack this season.

The game marks a homecoming will have special significance for graduate Scotty Taylor, who transferred from Duke in the offseason. Taylor played 66 games for the Blue Devils and during his time in Durham, scored eight goals and had three assists. Taylor has played in 11 games this season for NC State.

Sophomore Luke Hille has proven to be one of the top players in the ACC this season. The Cary native ranks in the top 10 in five different league categories: shots - 9th (28); points - 5th (14); goals - t2nd (7); points per game - 10th (1.08); goals per game - 5th (0.54).

LAST TIME OUT

NC State trailed American University 2-0 in the second half, before falling 2-1. Graduate defender Kendall Edwards scored his first goal of the season late in the second half to get the Pack on the board.
