RALEIGH – NC State men's swimmer Eric Knowles was honored as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Team for the fourth season in a row, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Knowles, who compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA in five years at NC State, earned a spot on the First Team for the third-straight time after earning Third Team honors as a sophomore in 2019. It marks the sixth year in a row that NC State swimming and diving has been represented on the list.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Knowles recently earned his degree in materials science and engineering. He adds to an already-lengthy list of academic accomplishments, as he has been recognized as a member of the Academic All-ACC Team and a CSCAA Scholar All-American each season of his five-year career. Knowles also won the Elite 90 Award for Men's Swimming and Diving for having the top GPA out of any competitor at that NCAA Championships event, and he was a recipient of a 2022 ACC Postgraduate Scholarship.
Knowles was a six-time All-American and a three-time ACC champion during his career with the Wolfpack. He helped captain the men's team to ACC Championships wins and fourth-place NCAA Championships finishes in four of five seasons.
